At International Wind Engineering, we provide accredited calibration services in compliance with EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ensuring accuracy and reliability for a wide range of meteorological and environmental instruments.
Anemometer Calibration
We calibrate cup anemometers, uniaxial propeller anemometers, hot wires/hot films, and sonic anemometers in the closed-loop wind tunnel of the National Technical University of Athens.
• Calibration cross-section: 1.4 m × 1.2 m
• Standard wind speed range: 4 to 16 m/s (MEASNET Anemometer Calibration Procedure)
• Expanded uncertainty: 0.08 m/s at 10 m/s
• Custom calibration available from 1 to 30 m/s
• Compatible with all instrument types (analog/digital output, visual indication with/without display)
Wind Direction Indicator Calibration
Our accredited calibration services extend to wind vanes and sonic instruments using a controlled stepper motor for precise rotation at 0.50°/s.
• Calibration cross-section: 1.4 m × 1.2 m
• Reference angle determination via pulse generator
• Uncertainty in reference angle measurement: 0.8°
• Compatible with all instrument types (analog/digital output, visual indication with/without display)
Barometer Calibration
We offer barometer calibration within a range of 500 to 1100 hPa using a controlled pressure chamber under monitored environmental conditions.
• Reference pressure measured with an annually calibrated reference barometer
• Expanded uncertainty: 0.21 hPa
• Calibration available for barometers with and without pressure hose inputs
Data Logger Calibration
Accredited by the National Accreditation System E.SY.D. (Certificate 547), we provide calibration for instruments measuring electrical measurands, including:
• Voltage: 0 – 30 VDC (Uncertainty: 3.5 µV to 1.8 mV)
• Current: 0 – 24 mA IDC (Uncertainty: 25 nA to 37 µA)
• Frequency: 1 – 1100 Hz (Uncertainty: 0 to 0.077 Hz)
• Performed in our controlled laboratory environment
